Translit’s linguists work with diverse clientele, including Ireland’s largest public, private, and business entities. We deliver high-quality translation and interpretation services, supported by our project teams and cutting-edge technology. As a freelancer with Translit, you will benefit from flexible work hours and in-house training.

We are always eager to welcome new linguistic talent to our team. If you meet the following requirements, we would love to have you on our team!

What we're looking for

Translators

  • A degree in linguistics, languages, or a related field (with a certified English-translated diploma), OR

  • A degree in any field with at least 2 years of translation experience (with a certified English-translated diploma), OR

  • A minimum of 5 years of full-time professional translation experience if not a graduate;

  • Understanding of translation project management processes;

  • Familiarity with, experience in, or willingness to learn CAT tools (e.g., XTM or others)

Interpreters

  • Excellent communication and interpreting skills

  • Relevant education or qualifications in languages, linguistics, literature, etc.

  • Fluency in English and at least one other language

  • Interpreting experience in relevant sectors (e.g., immigration, healthcare, law enforcement) and modes of interpreting (e.g., face-to-face, video link, phone)

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • For Ireland-based interpreters, a valid right to work in Ireland
